Doctoral Students...Consider Presenting at CREATE! 

Doctoral students and recent graduates at the doctoral level who present their dissertation research at CREATE’s Doctoral Student Poster Session are eligible to receive the 2018 Achilles-Harper-Swenson Emerging Researcher Award.*

The winner of the Achilles-Harper-Swenson Emerging Researcher Award will receive a $500 honorarium.

Current doctoral students are also eligible for “reimbursement scholarships” to cover their CREATE Conference registration fee.  Recent graduates are not eligible for scholarships.

Scholarships are awarded to a limited number of doctoral students who submit the following by August 17, 2018 to

1.       A current résumé or curriculum vitae
2.       An official or unofficial transcript from the current year (i.e., 2018)
3.       A 100-200 word narrative explaining how the scholarship will enhance your pursuit of an Ed.D. or Ph.D.
4.       A form that includes contact information for two faculty references (Click here to access the form.)
Scholarship winners will be notified no later than September 17, 2018, and reimbursed by check after they present at the conference.

*In 2013, the CREATE board initiated the Achilles-Harper-Swenson Emerging Researcher Award to honor three influential educational researchers.  It is awarded to a new researcher on an annual basis.
